IMAGES OF NEW SHOES, DONE!

January 7, 2009

On the top right corner you’ll see a “flower shape” made out of hexagons, you can use it to make more hexagonal backgrounds via “tessellation” (copy and paste it over and over again to make a huge pattern) its included.

Here’s where my raw file for this is located: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=88S8OY3V

File size is around 6 mb.

rbk_diffangle

Next one was created by dividing different parts of the shoe and putting them in layers so its more fexible to work with and potentially you can create somthing along the lines of this:

layers_shoe

RBK uses two colours on the sole remember and that image is  here

This is basically to use as a guide when adding your own colours.

You guys must be wondering why the ipod button is grey and divided into pieces well here’s the answer:

ipod-advert I thought if were going to show data, we might as well show it in an interesting way.  Pie charts are great at doing just that!  This way people can tell whats what in a fraction of the time. Also displayed is the buyers avatar which is  clearly visible and its achieved without the need of them hogging the entire billboard.

working on something…

December 12, 2008

What I am going to try and complete over weekend is to turn each of these points stated in figure 1. into an image. To visually demonstrate our idea, call it an experiment!

It’ll be a draft thing but in this process at least we can cover some grounds as to presenting our idea clearly.

Figure.1

concepta4-copyThe first one about “purchases/ unwraps the shoes” is completed below and you can download the raw Photoshop file here and use as you see fit =)

Yeah I know its a dull  black and white illustration but any one of us can add the branding/colours later. if i could get around 6 of these slides done, it will strengthen our ideas and thoughts on the project.

The image below was painstakingly created using the pen tool!

I have found some images which caught my eyes, my fav is the first one “Just for kicks” and the shoe bike.

p.s  I wont be able to make it on friday because of the viral flu my dad gave me, need to rest and get myself to the doctors on firday moring.

This Mars bar commercial is definitely related to the type of concept we’re trying to create.
Basically it’s showing a guy walking through places and as he does, everything he steps near lights up or “comes alive”. Also it shows interactions between man and objects, something what we want create using billboards.

The reactions we want to provoke are along the lines of hummm…..

ha-ha! something funny worth adding in, i think. you guys should see the “remix“… hilarious!

now…

December 10, 2008

That’s cool, perhaps we can use the aspects of each of those things to advertise the whole product.  Good stuff.

On the idea we had before with personalised advertising I saw *this thing* by Disney to advertise disneyland. It’s a viral campaign to allow users to put their names all over the park under the pretence of it being theirs for a year.  All done with on-the-fly editing to make it look like a news report.

Send it to your friends, this multinational corporation obviously needs your help to get their products out there, they’re so poor…

(‘pologies for the sarcasm)

RunningShoes.

December 8, 2008

based on the Trainer GPS idea these are some Reebok running shoes.  for runners a Pedo-meter and running past billboards.

Playing with scale

December 4, 2008

Its not in our budget nor do we have the time to create anything like this but the inspiration and the boost it gives you is amazing. This is an old medium shown in a more contemporary manner.

A Sony advert playing with scale, using 200 plasticine bunnies, hopping through New York.

Although personally i have been put of with scale.

Sam why do you have a fetish (ha-ha) for Oyster cards, Touch Screens and Sat Navs? I was thinking maybe we could use google maps (videos & pics) to gain information of a local area and get to know it to before we target it with our brand and possibly create something using the items you’ve stated.

If someone knows of websites that do something interesting using postcodes, post them up.

I am going through my bookmarks at the moment so pitch in.

Google maps for example does just that, using pics and video. This way we can combine many different mediums from many sites and maybe do something pretty cool with it?

Feedback please
